    1. don't forget the German, French and Dutch editions! I had no idea they were printing it until a friend of mine sent me a link. They printed Steve Tappin's short story right in the middle of the book which I thought was odd- it's a fine story but why not put it in the end?

  3. i am surprised it has been out of print, dermot's painting are a joy to look at, would this have been the last painted works before turning to digital painting? j

Thanks James- it was...and the cover for the original print run was digital and suffered from the fact that I hadn't quite got to grips with the technology- so it printed way too dark and I made the newby mistake of painting Sláine's face in close detail and the 'boring' bits with hardly any detail with the result that you end up with broad strokes next to tight marks. It took me a while to calibrate my brain to the new way of working.

  4. that's the edition i have, cover is lovely, it would have been nice to see how you would have approached a cover for this new edition given the opportunity and your availability, although 2000ad ware spoiled for choice on possible cover images from the strip.
