The strong deceptively simple minimalistic quality that makes no apologizes or hides that face that its is really great. The way your able to communicate so much with the bare minimum of detail and rendering is definitely something to be admired.
btw ....this is my tribute to Bolland's 'gaze into the fist of Dredd' panel from way back. If you haven't seen it then google that phrase; it's genius. I balked at having the fist going through his head though... no more blogGoblin after that.
Great stuff Dermot! and as a service to those too lazy to find it for themselves... here's the seed of inspiration (which was always one of my most favourite panels too)... http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2191/2024206223_a545dfacde_o.jpg

ReplyDeleteHey Thanks Humza! 'Less is more' sums it up- i hope. I always ruin my artwork when I over detail it.

ReplyDeleteAwesome work Dermot. I think I do remember that Bolland panel! This is great though. Cheers.

Gahh! Was hoping he wasn't going to get punched. Glad your hand's better anyway and that you're back drawing again.
